‘Living In Bondage’ Actress Chizoba Bosah Is Dead

Chizoba Bosah, a Nollywood actress popular for her role in Living in Bondage and Tinsel is dead.

The 52-year-old actress was said to have died on Sunday after a long battle with diabetes, stroke and high blood pressure.

The sad news was broken by Otunba Omotayo Ogunlade, Convener of Yoruba Films & Music Festival broke the sad news.

Ogunlade confirmed Bosah’s death in a tribute to the deceased on his facebook page.

“Chizoba Bosah Sam-Boye my sister my friend. Surely God knows the best. Rest in peace. Aunty Chizzy as I fondly called you. Can’t control this tears.”

Aside from the classic Nollywood film, Living In Bondage, Bosah acted in the Igbo comedy series- Kanyi Si Ebi. which was a major contributor to the start of Igbo Channel on DSTV. Bosah is also known for her role as “Aunty Atinuke” in popular Tv drama, Tinsel.

The late actress and her husband, Sam Boye were married for about 15 years. They jointly operated a company called Purple Pictures. Bosah was also a producer and presenter.

Yomi Obileye’s death

Her death is coming weeks after Eelive.ng reported the death of Yomi Obileye, veteran Nollywood actor.

The late Obileye died in the early hours of Friday, April 24, from an undisclosed ailment. Gbenga Adeyinka, popular Nigerian comedian, announced his death,

The deceased was the elder brother of Taiwo Obileye, another veteran broadcaster and actor, who recently took part in Tinsel, a popular soap opera.

Aside from ‘Hostages’, a movie by Tade Ogidan, Yomi also acted in ‘Palace’, another soap opera, which also featured movie heavyweights like Jide Kosoko, Liz Benson, Antar Laniyan, Tunji Bamishigbin, Dayo Adeneye and Jide Alabi, among others.

He also starred in “Head Gone” in which he played the character Dr. Smith. A comedy, “Head Gone” is a reflection of the globally accepted truism that a thin line separates sanity and insanity.
