American rapper and singer, Lil Nas X released his controversial music video for “Industry Baby” featuring Jack Harlow, yesterday.
The “Old Time Road” hitmaker, known for his provocative marketing skills, sparked a lot of controversy with the music video.
Lil Nas X, born Montero Lamar Hill, is the only openly homosexual rapper in the hip hop industry right now, which has caused uproar from the industry and the general public.
After coming out as gay, Lil Nas X released a song – “Montero (Call me by your name)” – which many expressed their disapproval about.
The video seemed to appraise satanic worship which sees Lil Nas X rides a strip pole to hell and giving the devil a lap dance.
The music video has garnered over 300 million views on YouTube in 3 months, causing it to be one of the fastest music videos to reach that milestone.
Yesterday, the “Montero” crooner released another provocative music video that is currently trending on YouTube as well.
The music video featured Lil Nas X in jail expressing himself as an openly gay man. It comprised of gay men twerking, dancing naked, putting on femme outfits and American Rapper, Jack Harlow seemingly breaking the rapper out of jail.
The “Industry Baby” music video fictionalized a trial with Lil Nas X concerning the Satan shoes he had released earlier, following the “Montero” uproar on social media.
He is sent to Montero State Jail for his “momma knowing he’s gay” where he leads a group of crop-top wearing, makeup smearing gangsters, dancing his way through escaping jail.
The music video, based on a story by Lil Nas X himself, was directed by Christian Breslauer and loosely follows the theme of the movie “The Shawshank redemption” but with a fun twist.
The rapper reinstates his queerness in this video, singing “I don’t fuck bitches I’m queer” which has caused yet another uproar by the rapper.
The song was produced by hip hop icon, fashion mogul and creative genius, Kanye West.
