Chris Ihidero – Producer, Writer, and Filmmaker – has been announced as headliner for the second edition of TV Writing Masterclass, organized by the Lagos Film Academy. The Masterclass is a non-profit project, which seeks to address crucial skill gaps in the creative industry.
“I am thrilled to be working with the Lagos Film Academy again to deliver an explosive week of training and learning for the young and mid-career creatives in our midst. Learning from experts and training the next batch of creatives is how an industry grows,” Chris Ihidero commented.
Following three years of engineering ‘Story Story’, a free storytelling workshop for storytellers and creatives, Ihidero took up the class of aspiring TV writers in 2018, teaching the essentials of writing amazing TV shows, and the inevitability of making money through it. Chris Ihidero has directed popular TV series, ‘Fuji House of Commotion’, was Head writer of Africa Magic ‘Hush’, Head Writer and Showrunner of Africa Magic ‘Forbidden’, and more recently produced two seasons of ‘MTV Shuga’.
The TV Writing Masterclass is set to hold on the 10th, 11th and 12th of July, during the Lagos Film Academy’s Training Week, which is from July 8 to July 12, 2019. Participants of both StoryStory and TVWM will also combine for a Q&A session on storytelling for three hours on Saturday, July 13.
