Lady Gaga has announced that her next single, Stupid Love. This will be the first new material she has released since the Star Is Born soundtrack.

The single is dropping Friday at midnight ET. The singer posted the news on her social media accounts; there is also a billboard in Hollywood.

Details are scant, but an early version of the song leaked onto the internet last month. That version of Stupid Love is a disco-infused anthem whose style is reminiscent of Gaga’s Born This Way album.

The word Chromatica appears in the artwork and the copyright information on the billboard and could be the album’s title, as many fans immediately speculated online.

The Oscar winner teased that she was working on his sixth album a few times last year. In September, she posted an Instagram Story with a picture of her in the studio with the simple caption #LG6.

Before that, in March, she tweeted, “Rumors I’m pregnant? Yeah, I’m pregnant with #LG6.” Otherwise, however, she’s remained vague on details, including a release date and title.

Even information about collaborators has been slim; Producer Bloodpop, who has worked with the singer as well as Justin Bieber and Madonna in the past, posted some video of working in the studio with her last year. Also, German producer/DJ Boys Noize has been rumored to be involved as well.

Gaga has given little indication herself. Both her Las Vegas residencies and a special SiriusXM concert in New York during Pride Week last year were heavily focused on early material. The SiriusXM concert featured just one song each from her past three albums (including A Star Is Born) amid many from her first three.

All indications point to a new chapter for Lady Gaga and it starts on Friday with Stupid Love.
