Lady Gaga Announces New Release Date for ‘Chromatica’ Album

Stefani Germanotta, American singer better known as Lady Gaga, has announced a new release date for Chromatica, her sixth studio album.

The pop star had postponed her upcoming sixth studio album (initially set for release on April 10) in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Finally, she has confirmed the highly anticipated LP’s new launch date.

“The journey continues. You can officially join me on #Chromatica on May 29,” she wrote on Twitter. Gaga also posted a link where her followers can access the album when it finally comes out.

Chromatica the album

Chromatica comes a few years after the award-winning singer released Joanne, her fifth studio album, on October 21, 2016.

In the forthcoming project, Gaga teams up with some top music superstars including Ariana Grande, Elton John and Blackpink.

The highly-anticipated album also features Stupid Love, her hit-song, which was released in February this year.

The music video, which featured Gaga and several clans of color-coordinated backup dancers grooving across the project’s namesake landscape clad in revealing attires.

Gaga‘s frequent choreographer Richy Jackson told EW about working with her on the Stupid Love video.

“The reason I love working with her is you don’t know where you’re going next. Nobody knows what genre we’re going to take,” Jackson said.

“I like that, because it’s challenging me and I can stay inspired and figure out new ideas for her to move and put together a show. It was time for this. I don’t think we’ve had pure pop in a long time. We’ve had urban pop and even hip-hop is now pop, but we haven’t had pop like this. It was time for this right now, point-blank, period.”

In January, Lady Gaga, 33, had revealed that she was sexually assaulted when she was 19.

“I was raped repeatedly when I was 19 years old, Gaga had said.

She continued: “I was afraid I was gonna die.

“I would say I lived that way for about five years and I’d rather face that, those five years. Because they made me who I am.”
