2021 Mildred Okwo’s film, ‘La Femme Anjola‘, has been made available on Amazon Prime video for subscribers
This comes a day after Mildred Okwo announced The Audrey Silver Company’s deal with streaming giant, Amazon Prime.
The movie, Directed by Okwo and written by Tunde Babalola, premiered in Nigeria in March 2021.
La Femme Anjola is a film noir about a young stockbroker whose life turns upside down after he has an entanglement with a beautiful enigmatic singer; who turns out to be the wife of a wealthy and deadly gangster.
The film features Rita Dominic, Nonso Bassey, Mumbi Maina, and Femi Jacobs.
Speaking about the film, which recently got four Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) nominations; Okwo said: “As a filmmaker, I am drawn to telling stories that capture the essence of my observations.
“With this project, I had the opportunity to present a classic noir tale with a distinctively African twist; one that speaks for the times as it chronicles the journey of a young middle-class man who is a product of today’s Nigeria.”
Amazon Prime Video or simply Prime Video, is an American subscription video on-demand over-the-top streaming; and rental service of Amazon offered as a standalone service or as part of Amazon’s Prime subscription
