Nollywood filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan has announced that he will feature Oreofeoluwa Lawal-Babalola, the little boy who was captured on camera crying and negotiating with his mother who wanted to punish him, in his forthcoming movie.

He made this disclosure via his social media pages on Monday, December 7, 2020.

According to Afolayan, the four-year-old will make his Nollywood debut in his movie, and will work alongside movie stars, Eniola Badmus and Joke Muyiwa.

“This time last year, we started the preproduction of #Citationthemovie, and now we’re about to embark on an extraordinary journey with a group of new faces that we’ve never worked with before.

“We have the singer/songwriter Eniola Akinbo popularly known as Niyola, Ijeoma Agu, Deyemi Okanlawon, Kelvin Ikeduba, ex-big brother housemate; Offiong Anthony popularly known as Thin tall Tony, Eniola Badmus and Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha,” he wrote on his pages.

Others who would feature in the forthcoming project include “Olusegun Akinremi, Joke Muyiwa, Omotunde Adebowale, and Kunle Idowu famously known as Frank Donga, Bala Bello…”

Below is the post he shared:

Recall that about four months ago, Lawal-Babalola became an internet sensation, after being caught on tape begging his mother who was trying to punish him for doing something she warned him not to do.

In his effort to avert being flogged, he was smartly telling his mum to ‘calm down’ and even demonstrated how she should do it.

The boy switched from from English to native Yoruba language while trying to get his way out of the trouble. He then negotiated terms and conditions with his mum and promised not to repeat his mistake.
