Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has announced the end of principal photography for his forthcoming Netflix feature Swallow.
Afolayan shared via Instagram on Friday, to share that he had officially wrapped up the filming of Swallow. This comes nearly three months after he first spoke about the project.

Set in the 80s, the upcoming film is an adaptation of Sefi Atta’s 2010 novel of the same title. Swallow follows the story of Tolani Ajao, a young and naïve secretary who, after a series of career woes; considers a drug trafficking offer from her roommate Rose Adamson.
Earlier this month, Afolayan unveiled the film as one of the three Netflix commissioned projects in production. Afolayan’s catalogue on the streaming service includes blockbusters like October 1, The CEO, and Citation.
Swallow stars singer Niyola (Eniola Akinbo) in the lead role with Chioma Akpotha, Deyemi Okanlawon, Ijeoma Grace Agu, and Omotunde Adebowale. Eniola Badmus, Mercy Aigbe, Kelvin Ikeduba, Joke Muyiwa, BBNaija reality star Thin Tall Tony and Olusegun Akinremi also play supporting roles.
