Reggae-Afro Beat singer Kizz Daniel has again maintained there is no the breach of contract as claimed by G-worldwide Entertainment.

The long drawn legal battle between Kizz Daniel and his former record label G-Worldwide has continued and gone more fierce with the legal council of the record label seeking to get a legal injunction to stop the Kizz Daniel Live In Concert billed for Dec 26.

Legal Team L and A addresses journalists

Addressing journalists recently, Kizz Daniel’s legal team L and A Legal Consultants stated that Kizz Daniel did not breach his contract. According to them, he terminated the contract formally after issuing a notice of termination as required by the contract. A member of the artiste’s legal team Oluwaseye Lawal alleged that there is no court order restraining Kizz Daniel from performing his craft as an artiste. He said:

“Many people believe that only the label can end such agreements which is not true. It depends on the specific terms of the contract.”

“We would like to state though that Kizz did not breach his contract. He terminated it formally after issuing a notice of termination as required by the contract. We call on all his fans to come out and enjoy good music.”

“To the best of my knowledge, there is no court injunction and the show is still going to hold. It hasn’t been cancelled. It is still surprising to us who is said to have cancelled the show. The promoters did not cancel the show.”

Meanwhile, a senior lawyer, Olisa Agbakoba, who represents G-Worldwide had said last week that his law firm would seek an injunction to stop the forthcoming show. This is coming after G-Worldwide filed N500m lawsuit against him. He also warned third parties not to have any business dealings with Kizz Daniel.
However, Kizz Daniel’s legal team, L and A Legal Consultants, has maintained that the singer’s concert scheduled for Thursday will still hold despite recent threats from his former record label, G-Worldwide Entertainment.
