The filming of the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 blockbuster, King of Boys, has been concluded. This is according to Kemi Adetiba, the movie director.
Recall that a few weeks ago, Adetiba had hinted on the commencement of production with an Instagram post, where she expressed gratitude for the cast of the project.
Released in 2018, King of Boys tells the story of a businesswoman and philanthropist with a promising political future.
It is noteworthy that the movie features star actors, including –Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Toni Tonnes, and Sola Sobowale.
As announced by Adetiba, the movie sequel will feature Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) and Nse Ikpe-Etim, as new cast members.
The movie has, however, won big at the 15th edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
For her role as Alhaja Eniola Salami in the blockbuster, Sobowale was crowned Africa’s best actress.
Similarly, Etomi-Wellington emerged the best actress in a Supporting Role category, due to her brilliant acting in the movie.
Adetiba was also rewarded with an award when the film was adjudged the best Nigerian film.
With nine nominations and three awards, King of Boys was the Nigerian film with the highest number of awards at the 2019 AMAA.
