Kim Kardashian Celebrates 40th Birthday with Island Getaway

Kim Kardashian covid-19

Kim Kardashian had a memorable 40th birthday celebration. On Tuesday, the KKW Beauty mogul posted a handful of photos from her island getaway with loved ones; telling fans she feels “so humbled and blessed” amid a turbulent year.

“There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter,” Kardashian began. “For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today.”

Kim Kardashian elaborated on how she made the trip possible during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment,” she explained.

“After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island; where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.”

Last week, Kardashian had been planning a getaway to a private island with 30 of her nearest and dearest.

She was joined by mom/manager Kris Jenner and Kris’ boyfriend, Corey Gamble; in addition to siblings Kendall Jenner, Rob Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian. Kourtney and Khloé’s exes, Scott Disick and Tristan Thompson, were also in attendance.

Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, was also part of the festivities, despite his absence from the photographs.

“We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach; and so much more,” Kardashian said of the trip. “I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now. So in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is.”

Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian posted a series of bikini snaps from her 40th birthday.
