Kemi Adetiba to release King of Boys 3

Nigerian filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba, has said the making “King of Boys 3” is in progress.

The filmmaker made the announcement on Wednesday through her social media pages.

She wrote “I just need y’all to know… That KOB 3 is gonna be a WIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLDDDDDDDD RIIIIIIIIIIIIDE!!! #SayingALotWithoutSayingTooMuch #KOB3 #WhenThunderAndLightningMeetOnScreen.”

King of Boys tells the story of Alhaja Eniola Salami. She’s a businesswoman and philanthropist with a promising political future. On the side, she also has to contend with a power struggle which threatens everything around her.

In 2021, Kemi Adetiba disclosed that she almost died during the production of the much-anticipated sequel of fan-favorite movie, King of Boys.

Adetiba told the story of the struggles she faced during the film’s production via her verified Instagram page. She added that she almost lost her life back in 2020 following an illness that lasted for 7 months.

She said that immediately after recovery she moved from the hospital straight to the movie set. 

Kemi Adetiba started her career professionally as a radio presenter with Rhythm 93.7 FMFM; where she became the voice behind two nationally syndicated hit shows: Soul’d Out and Sunday at the Seaside.

Apart from King of Boys, she has produced  ‘Brotherhood’ and ‘ The Wedding Party 1‘. Furthermore, she directed Waje’s ‘Onye’ which features Tiwa Savage, Olamide’s ‘Anifowose’; ‘Sitting on the Throne’ and Bez’s R&B single ‘Say’.
