Kayode Peters, producer of My Flatmates, has denied the plagiarism claims of Renowned Nollywood Director, Blessing Egbe.
Blessing Egbe had earlier claimed that Peters stole her 2018 series, She Drives Me Nuts for the popular comedy series, My Flatmates which was first aired in the 2000s. Egbe stated that the writers recreated ideas from her 2018 series.
The aggrieved director took to Twitter to explain how Peters, plagiarized her series, prompting a rebuttal from Peters.
“Do the writers lack content and Have resorted to copying existing works or we just happen to write same things,” Egbe tweeted.
Speaking to Eelive.ng, Kayode Peters denied the plagiarism allegation, adding that he has no idea of the story line of Egbe’s She Drives Me Nuts.
“What do you want me to comment about when I have no freaking idea of what she’s talking about. Does she have an idea of how we come up with contents? Or she thinks we just engage writers randomly. And if she’s so sure we stole her content, she should come straight to us,” Peters said.
