Kanye West has shared the video for Jesus Is King track “Closed On Sunday.” The video features appearances from Kim Kardashian and their four children; North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Filmed on Kanye’s 4000+ acre Wyoming ranch, the video also includes cameos from Kris Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian. West’s father is also in the video.
In this song, Kanye West continually talks about family. The view expands and we see more members of the Kardashian family as well as the West family.
Kanye West also featured his choir in the final verse of “Closed on Sunday”. The scenes are dramatic and beautiful. Also, it is the greatest rapper flex for Kanye to film a music video on the large expanse of land he owns!
Kanye West’s family gathering video coincided with American Thanksgiving, where a lot of families gather together for a turkey dinner to commemorate God knows what exactly.
Although there is a cozy feeling to it, one cannot help but feel like there is something eerie or ominous under the surface. It looks more like a mourning or a preparation for impending trouble than a turkey dinner.
Then there was this cute little clip of North screaming at the end of the video!
Kanye West has been a busy man. His album Jesus Is King was released on October 25, alongside an accompanying short film, and debuted at No.1. He then performed at Joel Osteen’s megachurch two weeks ago.
Shortly after the release os his album, he posted a picture of himself with Dr. Dre and teased a follow-up album. Earlier this week West debuted his first opera, Nebuchadnezzar, in Los Angeles.
