Billionaire rapper, Kanye West will no longer be contesting for US 2020 presidential election. This is according to New York Magazine’s Intelligencer.
Barely two weeks after West declared his candidacy, the magazine reports that the rapper will no longer be contesting the election.
“He’s out,” Steve Kramer, a member of West’s campaign team, said, telling the publication that he was in the process of getting “all our stuff cancelled.”
“I have nothing good or bad to say about West… Any candidate running for president for the first time goes through these hiccup,” he added.
Prior to this development, President Donald Trump of the US had hinted that West would have to view his candidacy as a trial run for what’s going to happen in four years time, stressing that it may be too late for the rapper to register in some states and that he lacks the infrastructure for a presidential bid.
