There’s still no set release date for the Donda album from Kanye West but it doesn’t mean the rapper isn’t hard at work.

West is reportedly recreating his Chicago childhood home as a part of the set for yet another Donda listening event.

Back in July, the rapper held the first exclusive listening party for the album at the Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta. A second listening party was also held at the same venue earlier this month.

Kanye is now recreating his childhood home in the middle of Chicago’s Soldier Field. Another listening party is apparently set for Thursday.

Over the weekend, Kanye West deleted all the pictures on his official Instagram account. He began uploading photos having only to do with “Donda”. Kicking off with a photo of the home he once shared with his beloved late mother, who the album is named after.

According to the New York Post, the house has changed hands several times since Donda West sold it in 2003 for $121,000. In 2011, Kanye West and Jay-Z visited the home and it also made an appearance in a 2018 episode of “Keeping Up With Kardashians.” Last year, the rapper bought the home for $225,000.

An updated release date for Donda is still unclear, even after two listening events. The album will serve as a tribute to the 44-year-old rapper’s mother, who unfortunately died in 2007. Expectation was that the album would arrive after both listening events, but it never materialized on streaming services.

Will Donda finally be released after Thursday’s listening event? Fans would have to wait and see. With Kanye West, nothing is ever certain.

This album is a follow-up to his 2019 gospel-themed album “Jesus is King,” which won a Grammy for best contemporary Christian album.
