Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber just announced a new docuseries titled “Seasons”. Unironically, the series will show on YouTube, where Bieber has the most subscribers (48 million).
The YouTube docuseries premieres on January 27, with new episodes arriving on Mondays and Wednesdays. Bieber’s new song, “Yummy” which he will release on Friday, plays in the background in the trailer.
“Seasons” will be the 25-year-old singer’s first docuseries. He previously starred in two documentary-style concert films, 2011’s “Never Say Never” and 2013’s “Believe,” both directed by Jon M. Chu.
This docuseries gives a more intimate insight into the life of a young celebrity. As his wife, Hailey, says in the trailer, most people don’t understand the pressure young successful people go through.
Bieber’s last full-length solo album was 2015’s “Purpose“. During his long hiatus, Bieber married Hailey Baldwin and collaborated on tracks with Ed Sheeran and Billie Eilish.
Bieber says he looks forward to releasing this new album because he is at a much different place from where he was when he released “Purpose” in 2015. In this docuseries, we will get to see his creative process.
In “Seasons”, we’ll get to see Justin Bieber from the eyes of the people in his life as opposed to detached spectators on social media. We guess he isn’t quitting music like he said he would.
