American rapper Joyner Lucas is dropping his long-delayed album, ADHD this Friday, March 27. In anticipation of the project’s release, Lucas paid tribute to his idol, Will Smith, with the music video for Will.
The clip opens with Lucas playing Will Smith characters on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air before moving on to the Philadelphia-born rapper and actor’s roles in Bad Boys, Men in Black, Wild Wild West, I Am Legend, I, Robot, and more. In total, he references 10 of Smith’s characters.
The video closes out with audio from one of Smith’s early interviews while the camera focuses on a deepfake version of the actor.
Smith praised the video on Instagram:
Reacting to the video, Smith said, “Joyner Lucas. That joint is crazy. Dude, I am humbled and honored. One of the lines you’re saying in there, ‘You inspire people and you don’t even know it.’”
