British-Nigerian actor, John Boyega, will be starring as a lead actor in an upcoming Netflix original sci-fi movie titled: “They Cloned Tyrone”.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the forthcoming movie can be likened to “Friday-meets-Get Out”.
“They Cloned Tyrone” tells the story of a pulpy, sci-fi mystery caper, in which an unlikely trio investigates a series of eerie events, alerting them to a nefarious conspiracy lurking directly beneath their hood.
Earlier this year, it was also announced that the actor would be producing the South African-set crime drama, “God is Good.”
Fresh off his performance as Finn in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”, Boyega has a number of upcoming projects, asides starring in the third and final chapter of the latest Star Wars trilogy.
The actor is also gearing up to star alongside Letitia Wright in the upcoming love story, “Hold Back the Stars” and in Steve McQueen’s BBC anthology series, “Small Axe.”
“They Cloned Tyrone” will also be the directorial debut of Juel Taylor, the writer behind “Creed 2”, who co-wrote the script for the film with Tony Rettenmaier.
The movie Production is reportedly set to commence sometime in early 2020.
