Jason Momoa Recounts Struggles After ‘Game of Thrones’

American actor, Jason Momoa, who played the role of Khal Drogo in the popular HBO series, Game of Thrones has revealed that he went though a tough period after his role was killed off during the first season finale of the series in 2011.

The 41-year-old actor brought this revelation to light in an interview with InStyle.

Momoa, who lives in Los Angeles home with his wife Lisa Bonet and their two children, Lola, 13 and Nakoa-Wolf, 11 stated that he struggled to pay his bills.

“I mean, we were starving after ‘Game of Thrones.’ I couldn’t get work. It’s very challenging when you have babies and you’re completely in debt,” he said.

Eventually, Momoa was able to surmount his financial difficulties when he was cast on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) which led to his role in Justice League (2017) and Aquaman (2018).

Game of Thrones premiered on HBO in the United States on April 17, 2011, and concluded on May 19, 2019, with 73 episodes broadcast over eight seasons.
