Jamie Foxx Bulks Up to Play Mike Tyson in Biopic

Jamie Foxx bulks up his body and confirms that a Mike Tyson biopic is in the works. The Academy Award-winning actor reveals details about his prep work for a film about the youngest heavyweight boxing champion in history.

The multi-talented Jamie Foxx has been talking about portraying former boxer Mike Tyson in a biopic for years. After all this time, the project is truly coming to fruition, according to CNN.

Foxx, 52, spoke of the project on Instagram Reside sequence Catching Up with Mark Birnbaum, on Wednesday. He told the restauranteur that even after his Oscar-winning role as the blind legendary musician Ray Charles; he is still very cautious in relation to biographies.

“Look, doing biographies is a tricky factor,” Foxx stated. “Generally it takes 20 years to get them accomplished. However, we formally received the actual ball rolling.”

The multi-hyphenate added that he hopes audiences might be open to seeing the controversial Tyson in a brand new mild light.

“We wish to present all people evolves,” Foxx added. “I believe after we lay the layers on Mike Tyson on this story, I believe all people from younger and previous will have the ability to perceive this man’s journey.”

Foxx has also disclosed that he has been bulking up his physique in preparation to play Tyson, the youngest heavyweight boxing champion in history.

“The transformation begins… ‘FINDING MIKE,’” Foxx wrote in an Instagram post showing off his early prep progress. “A few months ago we started the journey. The first but biggest task is to transform the body. With a regiment (sic) of pull-ups dips and push-ups, we are off to a pretty good start. We have a ways to go but God willing.”
