The CEO of Instagram, Adam Mosseri has reacted to media personality, Kylie Jenner’s complaint about the app becoming a video app.

He did this in a video message addressing the backlash to the changes on the app. In the video, Mosseri said “We’re going to continue to support photos. It’s part of our heritage.”

However, he stated that he believes “that more and more of Instagram is going to become video over time.” He further added that they’re “going to have to lean into that shift while continuing to support photos.”

He further spoke on concerns about the “recommendations” feature. He stated, “We’re going to continue to try and get better at recommendations, because we think it’s one of the most effective and important ways to help creators reach more people.”

On Monday, Jenner shared a meme, calling on instagram to return to its origins. The meme read, “Make Instagram Instagram again. Stop trying to be like tiktok I just to see cute photos of my friends, Sincerely, Everyone.”

She added on the story, “PLEASEEEEEEE.”

Kim Kardashian also agreed with her. She posted the same meme to her Instagram Story, with the caption, “PRETTY PLEASE.”
