I’m In No Competition With Rema – Jhaysings

The breakout of many young Nigerian Artistes in 2019 got fans comparing one youngster to the other in a bid to determine who’s “the best”.

Another new young artiste who has succeeded in gaining enough prowess to be compared with Mavin star, Rema, is Jhaysings, the voice behind the popular hit song “Loke Loke”.

In a recent interview, Jhaysings addressed the comparison, stating that he was in no competition with Rema or any other Kid On The Block.

He disclosed: “Let me state this very clear, I’m not in competition with Rema or anyone else for that matter. everyone is doing great and its good for the industry.”

Born Sadiq Adebowale Oluwaseun, Jhaysings who has so far recorded two singles, spoke about his music inspiration. He said: “My music is inspired by life; my life, the life of people around me, my environment, so many things.”

Expressing gratitude to God, the young artiste spoke joyfully on how far he has come in the music industry.

“The journey has been fantastic, I’m really grateful to God for how far i have come, it’s been God,” he said.

On the inspiration behind his hit song with Victor AD, Jhaysings had this to say:

“It was more like a prophetic declaration for me, believing I’m destined for the top. Back then, i didn’t have a benz but i do now. so its more like a prophet song”.

Jhaysings is a singer, a guitarist, music producer and song writer; graduate of the Lagos State University where he studied English.
