Sabrina Dhowre, wife of Hollywood star Idris Elba, has also tested positive for coronavirus. She seemed to have contracted the deadly disease from her husband.
This is news coming in less than a week after her husband announced via his social media page that he had been infected with the killer virus.
Dhowre, 31, insisted she was not surprised and never questioned staying with the Beast of No Nation star after his confirmed infection.
“I wanted to be with him. That’s the instinct of a wife. You want to go and take care.”
“I could have made a decision to maybe put myself in a separate room or stay away and I’m sure that people are making those decisions. But I made the decision to want to be with him … and still touch him,” she told Oprah Winfrey on her new TV series Oprah Talks: COVID-19, posted early Sunday.
Although, they have both been confirmed positive, they are yet to show any symptoms. Dhowre said it “worrisome”
Commenting on the series, Winfrey stated the global awareness program includes some prominent figures invited to discuss the killer virus,
“Like millions of people all over the world, I‘ve been staying safer at home for over a week now. The feeling of stress and uncertainty is all over the people, I know” Ophra wrote on Instagram.
The couple received some messages from online trolls after they posted a video explaining Idis Elba’s confirmed test results, with his wife sitting close by.
This further adds to the list of celebrities who have been infected with the virus.
