Since cheating on Popular Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim, Nigerian rapper, Olusegun Olowokere, popularly known as Iceberg Slim, says he has been subjected to constant backlash from “self righteous” people who regularly call him out for cheating on the actress.
According to him, he doesn’t “downplay” or try to “justify” what he did but he has “owned” it, learnt from it and moved on.
Responding to the overwhelming backlash, he wrote via Instagram: “Na cheat I cheat, I no kill person.”
He added that he has “fallen into the trap of trying to explain” himself when “what happened was no one’s business, but mine and the person I was involved with.” He then went on to reiterate to his critics that what happened in his past relationship is “NO ONE’s business.”
In another slide, he said that social media has become too toxic and he’s only there for the memes.
In 2019, after Juliet Ibrahim released her book, A Toast to life, Iceberg Slim, who had hinted at the Ghanaian actress being a “toxic and controlling person” after their relationship ended, backtracked and asked for her forgiveness. Slim wrote a heartfelt apology to his estranged lover, actress Juliet Ibrahim. The rapper revealed how he had cheated and lied to her despite her relentless support for him, as he pleaded for her forgiveness and not a second chance.
In the post, he thanked Juliet for everything, commending her for her undying support through the bad times; “You loved me unconditionally, even at my lowest points, and only wanted honesty and love in return. Unfortunately, I’ve failed you.”
“I lied, I cheated, I took your love for granted… and in turn brought ridicule and shame on you. In life, sometimes you have to reveal, in order to heal,” he added.
However, when a celebrity confirms an aspect of their relationship, it’s always a big deal. And it’s an even bigger deal when it involves cheating. Whether they cheated or were cheated on, these celebrities will forever be associated with infidelity.
