Kaffy, a professional dancer and Guinness World Record holder, recently shared profound insights about her dance journey.

Kaffy spoke with Channels Television during the Morning Brief show on Tuesday. She revealed the layers of her motivation for dancing.

Kaffy started dancing with a specific goal in mind: fitness and wellness. “When I started, I was doing it strictly for fitness and wellness because I was using it for weight loss, because I was a size 16,” she said. Kaffy described dance as a liberating tool, not only for physical health, but also for a more holistic approach to well-being.

Before Kaffy saw dance as a career, she described it as a haven for her mental health. “Before I even thought of dancing as a profession, I always saw it as something to help me with my mental health,” she said. Growing up in a split parenting household, she described dance as Kaffy’s refuge, a place where she could escape and discover herself.

As Kaffy explored dance at the national stadium, she realised how much it could affect others. “People needed some kind of escape, either for fitness or wellness reasons or just to have a place where they want to be,” she said. This realisation marked the start of her journey to empower people through dance, creating a space where others could find solace, just as she had.
