‘I Almost Gave Up’- Producer Don Jazzy Reveals

In a series of tweets, Mavin records boss, Don Jazzy revealed how he almost gave up when he started his record label. He says he was fed up at the beginning but he kept pushing.

Still celebrating Burna Boy‘s grammy nomination, Jazzy motivated his fans to never give up, just like Burna Boy. Because perseverance is key. Coupled with his post, he shared an old picture of himself looking fed up with some of his artists.

Jazzy‘s tweet:

The Goal is ahead of you and not behind you, you must continue to defy all obstacles to meet the goal. We are bound to succeed if we continue to try and try and never give up.#JustLikeBurna.”

In another tweet, he wrote; ” Everyone has their goal. I almost gave up on mine in the early days of MAVIN. As you can see in this throwback pic.” I looked fed up lol. But man had to keep pushing. May you reap the rewards of all your hardwork last last o #JustLikeBurna

Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy established his record label in 2012. After he parted ways with his former partner D’ Banj of Mo’Hits records. Mavin records is one of the biggest record labels in Nigeria and Africa.

In 2011 Jazzy’s talent got him noticed by Kanye West who signed him up as a producer on his G.O.O.D music label. He did a collaboration with Jay Z and Kanye West on the production of the song Lift Off featuring Beyonce on the album. Jazzy’s deal with Kanye is said to be one of the reasons he fell out with D’Banj,

In May 2019, Jazzy assured his fans that a Mo’Hits reunion concert would happen soon.
