December 21 was a magical day for actress Hilary Duff and her long time boyfriend, Mathew Koma, who got married in an intimate ceremony in her Los Angeles front yard .
Surprisingly, Duff opted for the simplest look, a custom gown by Jenny Packham, one of Kate Middleton‘s favourite designers. Notable for its strategic simplicity, the bride looked confident, beautiful and amazing. As a matter of fact, simple has never looked this pretty.
According to Duff, she opted for the simple wedding dress to honour singer and record producer Mathew Koma.
“Matthew is very simple, and I really wanted to honor that,” Duff told Vogue of her dress. “I really want to feel like myself, but also how I envisioned he would see me. The end result of what we came up with, with Jenny, is exactly how I wanted him to see me. I think it’s how he would envision what I would look like as a bride. It’s really special.”
The design showcased exaggerated shoulders, cape sleeves, an open back and the couple’s initials and wedding date on the inside. It also had the initials of their 1- year-old daughter Baks Violet Bair. Additionally it featured the initials of Duff’s 7-year-old son with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
The bride’s naturally beautiful face carried a minimal make up by Kelsey Deenihan.
Hilary Duff wore her hair in long natural flowing waves courtesy of hairstylist, Nickki Lee with a delicate pearl- encrusted headband. She finished off her bridal look with a beautiful drop earrings and white platform sandals.
Meanwhile, the groom looked handsome in a back suit. Duff and Koma first met in 2015 while working on her album Breathe In Breathe Out. Congrats to the newly weds!
