The fifth edition of She-EO, the safe space created by House of Ganiyah, for women of African descent to hold important conversations that matter, was held at the University of East London on the 15th of June 2019. The London edition marked She-EO’s debut in Europe.

The event kicked off with powerful session openers delivered by the Mistress of Ceremonies, Abi Akinola, an Entrepreneur and Personal Performance Coach; and Tope Fajingbesi Balogun, the Creator and Producer of She-EO. A total of 13 amazing speakers thereafter took turns to be interviewed by Abi Akinola, Tope Fajingbesi Balogun, and Aisha Dahiru Atta, author of “An Affluent Heart”.

While responding to questions, speakers shared powerful and inspiring stories of aspirations, adversity, sickness, infertility, relationship struggles and breakthroughs, which kept the eighty-six women in the room glued to their seats for the entire duration of the program. She-EO 5.0 speakers included, Adaobi Oniwinde, an Oil and Gas Executive at The Hague; Dr. Zainab Imam, a Qatar based Perinatal Psychiatrist; Omotola Thomas, a Parkinson’s Disease Advocate; Desiree Joule-Adam, a Start-Up Strategist; Farah Dualeh, Founder of Inspire Her LTD – a life and Infertility coaching service for women; amongst others.

Following its successful introduction in She-EO 4.0 (Lagos) in January 2019, the London edition also featured two male speakers; Ayotade Oyinlola, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of IHS Towers; and Rasheed Saliu, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of AACSL Accountants London; These men shared male perspectives on very crucial issues related to love, relationships, career and financial success.

Attendees, who described She-EO 5.0 as liberating, life transforming, soul stirring, powerful, relevant and empowering; loudly rejected the producer’s decision not to return She-EO to the city of London in subsequent years.

She-EO 5.0 was proudly sponsored by Tade and Seun Oyinlola, Ashe Business Consulting, and AACSL Accountants.

She-EO 2019 series will continue with similarly impactful conversations scheduled to hold in Houston in September 2019. Details of this event will be posted at: www.sheeo100.com.
