Here’s How The Live Theatre Lagos’ Debut of Wole Soyinka’s Death & The King’s Horseman Went

From June 5th-7th, 2019 theatregoers were treated to a new experience when Live Theatre Lagos debuted with Wole Soyinka’s “Death and The King’s Horseman.”

The play was hosted by Stanbic IBTC, MTN, CMRG Research, and Maggi at the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja and the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel in Victoria Island.

The free to attend play featured Patrick Diabuah, Lanre Adediwura, Victoria Buseni, Basirat Jinadu, Emmanuel Nlemadim, Alex Okwumah, Chris Anyanya, Mofaramola Amosu, Odunayo Adebayo, Tobilola Adepegan, Diane Agbede, Oriyomi Joseph, Jide Mustapha, Emeka Nwachukwu, Ralph Ajayi, Abimbola Atolagbe, Sarah Peters and others.

It was directed by KelvinMary Ndukwe, stage managed by Adeleke Sholanke (Lakeshow) who was also the technical director and produced by Oluwanishola Adenugba.

The show was supported by Zaron Cosmetics, African Movie Channel, WFM, CoolFM, Wazobia FM and Nigeria Info.
