NOLLYWOOD actress, Halima Abubakar has broken her silence on the controversial baby photo she posted on her Instagram page sometime ago.
The screen-diva had on Monday, April 6, 2020, announced the arrival of her baby boy.
Days after the announcement of her baby’s arrival, an American mum identified as Ariel called out Abubakar on social media, for allegedly stealing her baby’s photo, using it as hers for the announcement of her newborn.
The American mum with the Instagram handle, @the_arielb shared photos of her baby photos on Instagram, which are similar to that of the photo Abubakar used in announcing the arrival of her baby.
Ariel went on to share screenshots of chat with Abubakar, appealing to the actress to take down the photo of her baby from her Instagram page.

Soon after Ariel shared the screenshots of her conversation with Abubakar, which had since subjected her to ridicule on social media, the latter explained the reason behind her action.
According to her, she didn’t share the original photo of her baby, because he was born prematurely.
“He will be discharged tmr from icu.i didn’t post cos he was premature. God saved him. I just had to post this. For the people who didn’t see me, I have no close friends. I can’t show you a fragile child, I risked this just to post,” she wrote.
