Lagos governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu hosts Ikorodu Bois

Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu received the comedic group, Ikorodu Bois, at the statehouse on Monday, May 3, 2021.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, via his official Twitter account, shared pictures of himself with the Ikorodu Bois during the visit. With video editing help from older brother Babatunde Sanni, the group comprises Muiz Sanni, Malik Sanni and Fawas Aina.

The group recreates multi-million dollar music videos, movie scenes, and also movie trailers using regular household items.

Last year, they remade the trailer for Netflix’s Extraction, which drew the attention of the movie’s producers, the Russo Brothers. The producers expressed their excitement and went on to invite the boys to the world premiere of the movie’s sequel.

In April 2021, the group were a part of an Oscar campaign created by streaming giants, Netflix.

The Ikorodu Bois also received a nomination for the Favorite African Social Media Star category at the 2021 Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards.
