Give us quarantine music- Ebuka Obi- Uchendu Tells Wizkid

Ebuka Obi- Uchendu, Nigerian media personality has asked, Afrobeat singer, Wizkid to give fans “quarantine music”; in the wake of the coronavirus lock-down.

In a post shared on Twitter, Ebuka asked Wizkid to put out a new song just as fans had long awaited the latter’s forthcoming ‘Made in Lagos’ album.

Ever since the coronavirus broke out in China, travel bans, restrictions, and advisories have continued to take effect; in order to keep the disease at bay. This has greatly affected the showbiz industry.

So far, concerts, music festivals, and film festivals have either been postponed or completely shut down. Many celebrities have isolated themselves and are now in contact with fans solely through social media.

Airlines and other transportation companies worldwide are also facing losses as a result of the unfortunate development; thereby forcing the cancellation of already sold out concerts alongside planned cinema released.

In an endeavor to limit the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria, the Federal Government has instituted lock-down measures; banning public gatherings.

With 11 confirmed cases, by far the most in Nigeria, the state government has asked schools to shut down and banned all public gatherings of more than 50 people; particularly religious congregations.
