G-Worldwide Files ₦500m Lawsuit Against Former Label Artiste, Kizz Daniel

G-Worldwide may have just striken an enmity deal with former label artiste, Kizz Daniel, as the label sues him to court over breach of legal contract.

The exit of Kizz Daniel from the label, came with drama that ensued between management, client and the entire public who made many funny assumptions as to the reason for his exit.

This time around, the label is suing the artiste to the sum of Five Hundred million naira, as reported by The Guardian.

According to the report, Kizz Daniel was sued with general damages in the sum of Two Hundred Million Naira (₦200,000,000), special damages for breach of contract in the sum of ₦179,499,957, and ₦150,000,000 for contract exit fees, among other reliefs.

“The matter pending at the High Court of Lagos State, which was commenced by an Originating Summons, came up on Monday, October 7, 2019, for Judgment before Hon. Justice Taofiquat Oyekan-Abdullai.”

However, GWW through its Solicitors, informed the Court that it had filed an Application seeking two alternative prayers; A prayer to stay proceedings pending reference of the matter to Arbitration, as provided under the enabling contract between the parties and a prayer granting leave to amend its originating process.”

With this new development, it seems the end to the legal battle between man and label is not going to be in the nearest future. Eelive.ng will give you more details as it drops.
