Nollywood veteran actor, Ajirebi Kayode Olasehinde, popularly known as Pa James, has debunked the viral news that actress Funke Akindele bought him a new house.
Pa James was on Thursday, July 9, 2020, rumoured to have gotten a house from Akindele, after he was sacked from his house in Oke Isagun community of Oke Odo, Lagos, due to flood.
Eelive.ng had reported that Pa James’ son, Samuel, revealed how the flood has consistently damaged his father’s properties for the past ten years.
Denying the viral reports that he got a house from Akindele, Pa James noted that the actress only gave him “a reasonable amount of money to get a better apartment to stay with my family.”
“Funke Akindele really tried for me a lot, she has been so supportive, she helped me in a very big way, but some media houses got it wrong when publishing it. She did not build or buy a house for me; she only gave me a reasonable amount of money to get a better apartment to stay with my family, mainly because of my health,” he explained
“So please, I’m not denying the fact that she helped me, but she didn’t buy me a house, she rented a better apartment for me. Thank you all, and God bless you,” the actor added.
