American rapper, Roddy Ricch, and Canadian singer, The Weeknd have garnered the most nominations for the 2020 American Music Awards (AMAs).
The long-awaited nomination list was announced on October 26.
Roddy and The Weeknd lead with eight nominations including nods in the New Artist of the Year and Collaboration of the Year categories while first- time nominee, Megan Thee Stallion emerged the most nominated female artiste with five nominations including the New Artist of the Year and Collaboration of the Year categories.
Coming closely behind her are Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, DaBaby, Taylor Swift, Doja Cat and Bad Bunny with four nominations each.
This year’s show will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 22 at 8 p.m.
