Full List: Burna Boy, Rema Nominated for 2020 BET Awards

Damini Ogulu, Nigerian Afrofusion artiste better known as Burna Boy, and Rema, fast-rising singer have been nominated for the 2020 BET awards.

On Monday, the nominees for the 2020 BET awards were announced.

The awards which celebrates the brightest stars across music, television, film, sports, and philanthropy will also mark its 20th anniversary.

Burna Boy got nominated in the Best International Act category.

With the nomination, Burna Boy joins the likes of Innoss’B, Sho Madjozi, Dave, Stormzy, Ninho, and S.Pri Noir, who have been selected for that category at the awards.

Rema was nominated for Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act alongside Sha Sha, Celeste, Young T & Bugsey, Hatik and Stacy.

Drake, Canadian hip-hop star, is the lead nominee for the awards with a total of  six nominations, next to Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch who scored five.

The 2020 BET Awards will air live on June 28 across ViacomCBS networks, including CBS for the first time. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the show, will be a virtual celebration and will air on BET and BET HER.
