No Kid Hungry, a charity organisation in the U.S has rejected a $200K donation from convicted rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine.
The foundation said it was rejecting Tekashi 6ix9ine‘s donation because his “activities” do not align with their mission.
Complex, quoted the spokesperson for Foundation, Laura Washburn, saying: “We are grateful for Mr. Hernandez’s generous offer to donate to No Kid Hungry. But we have informed his representatives that we have declined this donation.”
She added. “As a child-focused campaign, it is our policy to decline funding from donors whose activities do not align with our mission and values.”
Tekashi, who was recently released from prison for his involvement in a violent US street gang; described the decision as “cruel.”
“@nokidhungry rather take food out the mouth of these innocent children. I never seen something so cruel,” the rapper wrote on Instagram.
He added in a comment: “People wonder why black & Hispanic communities never evolve. Taking food out of hungry kids mouth is the true definition of LOW.”
Tekashi 6ix9ine‘s donation rejection comes after a woman, who claims she’s his baby mam; called him out after he announced he was donating $200K to feed hungry kids. The woman alleged that he’s not taking care of his daughter and has never even met her, yet he’s donating to other kids.
The woman who claims she hasn’t heard from Tekashi 6ix9ine since he was released, commented on The Shade Room’s post about his donation, saying, “God gave you two daughters to feed, God wants you to put them first.”
Tekashi was recently released from prison and is now under house arrest, after cooperating with the Feds and putting away members of the Nine Trey Gang, the violent group he once belonged to.
