Popular American YouTuber and boxer, Jake Paul said he got punched in the face by one of Floyd Mayweather’s bodyguards. The undefeated American boxing champion, Mayweather was caught in a fit of violence. The altercation happened when Paul snatched a baseball hat off Mayweather’s face during an interview.

This is coming a month to a big fight between Logan Paul, Jake’s brother and Mayweather. The Paul brothers are YouTube stars turned boxer who have multiple millions of followers. A media event to promote the fight took place yesterday at Hard Rock Stadium in Florida.

It was at this media promotion event that the brawl occurred. Immediately, the scuffle began, security operatives got involved to calm the situation. Jake Paul took to Instagram before the event to announce that he was going to attempt to steal Mayweather’s hat.

Mayweather stated in a press conference that he was ready to take on both brothers in a fight. The fight is scheduled to hold on June 6 in a pay-per-view event. The entire brawl seems like part of the ploy to promote the event which looks to be mainly for profit.

Mayweather out of retirement again

The American superstar boxer has an unbeaten record of 50-0. He also has 27 knockouts under his belt. In addition, he has won five weight divisions over three decades. This time, Mayweather will come out of retirement to fight Paul who started his boxing career in 2019. The former high-school wrestler towers over Mayweather significantly.

This is not the first time Mayweather will come out of retirement for a fight. He had previously announced his leave from boxing in 2015. However, in 2017, he came back to fight martial art fighter, Conor McGregor. A fight that he won flawlessly.

He has also fought the likes of Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya before he retired in 2015.
