The release of Beyonce’s album yesterday got everyone buzzing on social media! In case you missed it, Queen Bey featured African artistes on “The Gift” album, an album inspired by Disney’s “Lion King” movie.
Nigerians have since anticipated Tiwa Savage’s remark on the album, since her fellow artistes have done so.
The African Queen of Pop finally broke the silence yesterday when she took to her social media to express her joy and gratitude to have been featured on the album.
She wrote: “Where do I start with this album. I’ve never been more proud to be a brown skin girl just like Im so honored to be a mother to a King. My baby Jamil will be 4 in a few days and I realized that I gave birth to a KING. Mufassa had to remind Simba that he is the son of a king, that’s the message of this beautiful song. It is dedicated to African men and all men of African descant. Our kings are being killed and some jailed without justice.”
Other African artistes on the album include Yemi Alade, Mr. Eazi, Tekno, Wizkid and Ghana’s Shatta Wale.
