America’s biggest fashion night, the Met Gala, held yesterday. The annual fundraising event saw different stars in attendance including the Kardashians, Blake Lively, Nicki Minaj, Elon musk, Hillary Clinton and a host of others.
Celebrities dressed in ‘Gilded Glamour and White Tie’ for the occasion, which saw them rummaging through the fashion archives of late-nineteenth-century New York. Here is a rundown of the best looks at the 2022 Met Gala
This award winning singer stole the show in a dazzling black gown with silver sequins. As beautiful the front of this dress was, it was not the most appealing part of the dress. The real allure was the dress’ sweeping cape decorated with bejewelled pictures of New York’s famed skyscrapers.
Kylie Jenner did not disappoint in an Off-White wedding gown with a fitted corset top and a full skirt. Rather than wear a traditional veil, Jenner wore a decorated backwards white baseball cap.
Blake Lively
It would be a crime to leave Blake Lively off the list of the best looks at the 2022 Met Gala. The actress looked like a true queen in a copper Atelier Versace gown. The dress is an homage to New York City as well as the iconic Statue of Liberty.
The legendary female rapper stunned in a black sleeveless tulle dress. She paired this with leather leggings, and a Burberry baseball cap. Her face, shoulders, and arms were spotted with gleaming black stones to add to the glamour of the style.
Kim Kardashian always gets people talking about her outfit to the every year’s Met Gala and this year is no different. Kardashian dazzled in the iconic gown Marilyn Monroe wore to sing “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” to President JF Kennedy. She finished off the look with diamond drop earrings and a white fur jacket. She also walked the red carpet with boyfriend Pete Davidson.
Although Ryan Reynolds left most of the shining to his beautiful wife, Blake Lively. He did not leave it all up to her. Reynolds walked the red carpet in Ralph Lauren suit and an Omega watch.
Jenner showed up to the ball in a two-piece outfit. She looked ever bit of gorgeous in a full-bodied skirt with a long train and a sheer tank top under a fishnet crop top. T complete the look, she dyed her eyebrows platinum blonde.
We don’t doubt that when Janelle monae showed up, everyone turned to look. Monáe was dressed in a long flowing Ralph Lauren gown, complete with a shining hood.
