German fashion photographer and film director, Peter Lindbergh who was renowned for his trademark of dramatic black and white portrait, has died on the 3rd of September at 74.
The death of the legendary photographer was announced via his official Instagram. The post shows a void photography stage and was captioned: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Lindbergh on September 3rd, 2019, at the age of 74.He is survived by his Wife Petra, his first wife Astrid, his four sons, Benjamin, Jeremy, Simon, Joseph, and seven grandchildren.He leaves a big void.“
Born in 1944 in Poland, Lindbergh worked with many fashion designers along with international magazines throughout his career. He recently worked with Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, on the September edition of Vogue Magazine.
Celebrities including Charlize Theron and Rihanna have paid him tribute.
