American actress, Amber Heard’s ex agent Christian Carino has revealed that Heard asked him to deliver apologetic notes wrote to Johnny Depp over a year after their breakup.
This was revealed when a pre-recorded deposition of Carino, was played for the jury on Wednesday. According to Carino, he was a close friend and confidant of Heard’s at the time.
Carino and Heard’s texts were read aloud by Depp’s legal team. Heard wrote to Carino about Depp: “I’ve written so many notes. Can you give him one? I don’t know how or where to start. There’s no way to begin and all I have to say, but I have so many. Finally I am single, clear in my heart and mind. I just want him to know I love him and that I am sorry.”
In another text, Heard wrote, “God I miss him .” She sent another on June 2018. It read, “I text him happy birthday.”
The former agent further testified that he believed Heard wastrying to get back together with Depp at the time.
Depp is suing Heard for defamation over a Washington Post op-ed she wrote in 2018 about surviving domestic violence. Although she did not mention Depp’s name, in 2016, she requested a
domestic violence restraining order against him.
Depp and Heard met while making the movie “The Rum Diary,” in 2011. They got married in 2015 and Heard filed for divorce in 2016.
This trial is one of the series of court trials the couple has been involved in since splitting up. Back in 2020, Depp lost his U.K. libel lawsuit case against British outlet The Sun for calling him a “wife-beater.” The court upheld the tabloid’s claims and Heard testified to back up the claims. In 2021, his attempt to overturn the decision was overruled.
