Esther Benyeogo has won the season 3 edition of the The Voice Nigeria
Esther was announced winner at the Grand Finale, which aired live on African Magic and other platforms, on Saturday.
She battled against three other top finalists; KPee (of Team Darey), Kitay (Team Yemi), Naomi Mac and Dapo (Team Falz), and Eaziee (Team Waje), at the final of the reality show.
However, Esther Benyeogo sang her way to the top and with support from fans, she emerged victorious.
Esther went home with a cash prize of N10 million, a car, and a record deal with Universal Music Nigeria.
The coaches in the musical contest include Nigerian artistes such as Falz, Yemi Alade, Waje and Dare.
The show, which started three months ago, saw musical performances from the contestants, and a blend of rigorous musical training and pure entertainment.
During the show, The Voice Nigeria coaches performed an emotional tribute to the late Olanrewaju Fasasi also known as Sound Sultan. The coaches, along with their talents performed a rendition of Sultan’s 2016 hit song ‘Motherland’.
The veteran musician passed away at the age of 44, following a hard fought battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma. He died on July 11, 2021.
