Cameroonian singer, Dencia has reacted to Tiwa Savage‘s video, in which he called out American singer Beyonce, for help, as the nationwide protest against police brutality continues.
Tiwa Savage had in an Instagram live video, called out Beyonce and asked her to add her voice to the #EndSARS agitation.
According to her, Beyonce speaking up will be her own way of showing support for Africans.
Reacting to Tiwa Savage’s appeal, Dencia thinks it’s an empty call for validation from people who care less about Nigeria.
According to her, Beyonce could not change the police brutality in America even after speaking and singing about it; therefore calling her to intervene in Nigeria is of no use.
She wrote, “Lol because the Nigerian government cares about what Beyoncé is saying, the police is listening to Beyoncé. She spoke & sang against the 1 in America, what changed? Africans we always seeking unnecessary validation from things & people that can’t help. #EndPoliceBrutality.”
