Popular singer, Innocent Idibia, otherwise known as 2Baba, has called for the total shutdown of the Nigerian economy over a protest against police brutality in the country.
Wondering why everyone is still reporting to work in spite of the fact that Nigerians are still experiencing brutality from men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the Implication singer, said at this stage, markets should be the only thing open until Nigerian politicians can begin to give the people answers.
“I wonder why everybody is still going to work. We need a total shutdown until these politicians start to answer!! Unless them wan use sars come pursue us go work #EndSARS @EndPoliceBrutality #endimpunity #endlooting Make only market for essential things dey,” he wrote on his Twitter page.
As reported on eelive.ng, 2Baba is one of the many celebrities who have since been adding their voices to the ongoing nationwide #EndSARS protest.
Recall that about two days ago, the music star asked all security agents in the country to join the protest if they are unhappy about their welfare.
“Police!! Military!!! and all security agencies!! If una no happy about una welfare make una join this movement for a better naija. Una no be slave,’ he wrote in a tweet,” he had tweeted.
