In January, Eminem surprised fans with a new album called Music To Be Murdered By. The new Eminem project contained “Godzilla,” a song featuring Juice WRLD.
Juice WRLD, a Chicago rapper, passed away from an accidental drug overdose in December.
Today the song got a music video, directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett. The cartoonish style of the clip harkens back to Eminem’s early days.
The video takes place in a trashed supermarket where different figures from the song’s lyrics come to life.
Also in the music video, American boxer Mike Tyson makes a cameo appearance. 53-year-old Tyson gives Eminem a right hook before the two legends recognize each other.
At the conclusion of the new Eminem video, there is a touching tribute to Juice WRLD from Bennett, who collaborated with the rapper frequently before his passing.
Juice WRLD died on December 8 after suffering a seizure at Midway Airport in Chicago. The rapper was 21 years old.
He had launched his career two years prior to his death, rising up the charts and becoming one of the most recognizable Gen Z stars in the music industry.
His death came as a shock to many fans and celebrities alike. Tributes poured in in the days following his untimely passing.
