Akay Mason’s Netflix hit Elevator Baby now has a Bollywood version Thank You, Brother, as an Indian producer Ramesh Parthyr contacted Niyi Akinmolayan to buy the rights to the film.

Elevator Baby is the story of a spoiled young man Dare who gets trapped in an elevator with a pregnant woman Abigail who then goes into labour. Dare faces the daunting task of delivering Abigail’s baby while still stuck in the elevator.

It premiered in cinemas in 2019 and on Netflix in 2020, both to critical acclaim. Akinmolayan said on Instagram that Parthyr contacted him in 2020 to remake the film; which starred a heavily pregnant Toyin Abraham and Timini Egbuson.
