There are reports that Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem was arrested last week for allegedly assaulting his landlord.
According to blogger, Instablog9ja, the veteran rapper attacked the landlord, Oladipo Abimbola. The attack was allegedly over a cumulative N535,000 electricity bill debt on January 3, 2020, at Valley View Estate, Ikeja, Lagos.
The report says Eedris arrived at the landlord’s compound to attack him. This was apparently after the landlord accosted him for not paying the electricity bills.
Reacting to the statement issued by the landlord after the police arrested him, Eedris Abdulkareem accused the landlord of making advances to his wife. He alleged that his landlord had sexually harassed his wife in his absence; and that all efforts to make him stop failed.
He also claimed that his landlord had a previous case of sexual harassment against a female tenant. There are however reports that the police have released the rapper. However, the matter is still ongoing at the police station.
