Drake Drops New Single, Ends Rumoured Beef With The Weeknd

Canadian rapper Drake has released a new single and music video, “War,” where he addresses his beef with singer The Weeknd. The song also suggests that the two have put their differences aside.

In the song, Drake, spotify’s most streamed artiste of the decade raps about his relationship with The Weeknd and others.

OVOXO link up, man don’t drink up, me in the trillers,” Drake raps, referring to their record labels OVO and XO.

Packs and sticks and cash and Baka, Gucci, P, and dealers / And the boy that sound like he sang on ‘Thriller’ / You know that’s been my n—a yeah / We just had to fix things, family, 6 tings, we can’t split up.”

Ending the track, Drake,33, raps, “Anyone I’m beefin’with is a no name/N**as can’t even win home games/ They just gotta fall in line like Soul Train.”

The Weeknd

In January,  The Weeknd released the single Lost In The Fire featuring Gesaffelstein and many fans picked up on one of its verses which marked a diss against Drake with regard to his secret son, who the latter rapper acknowledged publicly only months earlier.

Following the song’s release, Drake reportedly unfollowed The Weeknd, his former protégé, on Instagram, sparking full-on feud rumors.

However, The Weeknd is yet to comment on “War.”
